ARLINGTON'S REGENT THEATRE AND JOHNNY D'S TO PRESENT BEATLEJUICE FRIDAY OCTOBER 25 AT 7:30PM Live Concert Complemented by Special Oct 24 & 26 Screenings of A Hard Day's Night

The much-loved Beatles tribute band, Beatlejuice, will be performing an all-ages show at Arlington's Regent Theatre on Friday, October 25 at 7:30pm. The concert is the debut collaboration between Somerville's popular nightspot, Johnny D's, where the band performs regularly, and the recently revived Regent.

The idea for the all-ages show arose, in part, by request from patrons of Beatlejuice shows at Johnny D's--parents who want to share Beatlejuice with the newest generation of Beatles fans, their children. To make this opportunity easier, the collaborators are offering half-price tickets for kids.

Beatlejuice was founded by Brad Delp, the lead singer of the band Boston, whose 1976 self-titled multi-platinum release remains the second largest selling debut album in the United States. He and his band mates Muzz, Joe Holaday, Bob Squires, and Steve Baker perfectly nail the Beatles musical odyssey from start to finish. They continue to amaze everyone who witnesses their joyous romp through the seminal British band's illustrious catalogue. In fact, the majority of compositions in Beatlejuice's repertoire (over 100 songs!) were never performed live by the Fab Four, who stopped touring in 1966. The Regent's intimate theatre setting and state-of-the-art sound system (created by Beatlejuice sound engineer, Todd Winmill) provide the perfect setting for the closest thing to an actual Beatles concert one could experience.

As an added bonus to Beatles fans, the Regent will be presenting a new print of the classic film A Hard Day's Night for two special screenings: the night before and day after the Beatlejuice concert. This new version features a fully restored 35mm negative and digitally restored soundtrack, which will be seen on the Regent's big screen and heard in concert-like sound. (Beatlejuice ticket or ticket stub holders will receive half-price admission to A Hard Day's Night.)

The historic Regent Theatre, "Arlington's Show Place of Entertainment," recently launched its first full season of ongoing film, music, dance, and family events under new owner, Gary Adelson. The Regent is located a few short miles from Boston and Cambridge at 7 Medford Street, just of Mass. Ave., in Arlington Center. Free Parking. Wheelchair accessible. Reserved seats for Beatlejuice on October 25 at 7:30 pm are $20 for adults, $10 for children 12 and under. Tickets for A Hard Day's Night are $7 for adults and $5 for children and seniors.
