Bhadra treads very familiar terrain – a hero rescuing the heroine who is trapped in faction rivalry. Bhadra is rehashed version of Okkadu. While Okkadu was racy entertainer, Bhadra more concentrates on lighter aspect in the first half and soon drifts into mundane faction drama in the second half. It is laced with clichéd faction film formulae – Tata Sumo chases, killings and counter killings, flashback method, and gory.

Story:

Bhadra short for Veerabhadram is fresh from college. He falls in love with his friend’s (Deepak) sister Anu (Meera Jasmine) seeing her on a vcd. She studies in London. When she finishes her studies and comes to her village, our hero follows her brother. Anu’s elder brother Surendra (Prakash Raj) is an ideal faction leader but his rival faction group (headed by Biddu Yadav) is waiting to attack his family. While our hero tries impress his ladylove, one day the entire family is killed by the rival group. In the ensuing battle, Bhadra kills the rival leader’s brother and rescues Anu and takes her to his home. The rest of the film is how he tries to send her off back to London and save her from the faction group.
