"Discovered in a cave in Hope Falls, West Virginia, this half-bat has
escaped from captivity and is currently at large. He can be identified by
large, pointy ears and oversized eyes that make him sensitive to light. The
creature has reportedly attacked at least 3 people with his razor-sharp
fangs and should be considered extremely dangerous!"
-Matt Wolen, WEEKLY WORLD NEWS

Once merely the speculation of supermarket tabloids, the infamous Bat Boy
has made his way to Arlington, Massachusetts! For two shows only, bear
witness to his darkly funny and moving story... live on the Regent stage!
With an eclectic score that dabbles in rock, gospel, rap, country, and
straight-up showtune, BAT BOY: The Musical is an event not to be missed.

Bat Boy himself, the family that takes him in, and the conservative folk of Hope Falls
will be brought to life with explosive energy by a cream-of-the-crop cast of local high
school students. How will this ugly freak grow to become an acceptable
member of society? Things are not as they seem in this cult favorite, which
has enjoyed successful runs Off-Broadway and across the country. So, come
behold! The music. The passion. The pointy ears.

BAT BOY is directed and produced by Arlington resident and New York
University musical theatre major Haley Treco, creator of the brand-new,
not-for-profit, 100% homegrown Rose Garden Theatre Project. This performance
will be the finished product of a summer of unique, advanced acting
training.
