Babelesque
Performing a cross-section of Tribal, Egyptian and Cabaret styles, the Bellydance Superstars exhibit an intoxicating spectacle that transports the audience to a distant time and place while stimulating all the senses. Taking an ancient art form into the mainstream, they have garnered international acclaim from critics, instructors, dancers, and fans alike. The troupe's current show, "Babelesque," features all new choreography, costumes and production. Dressed in luxurious colorful costumes, the Bellydance Superstars beautifully display the true art of bellydance. From their beginnings as part of the 2003 Lollapalooza 45-city tour, performing to over half a million people, to their second 3-month run at the Monte Carlo Casino in Monaco throughout June 2007, they have set a new standard for bellydance and proved, beyond doubt, its wide appeal to a Western audience.
