Brainwaves 2008

The return of Brainwashed's 3-day multi-media celebration of
cutting-edge music, Brainwaves is scheduled for the evening of Friday,
November 21, afternoon & evening of Saturday, November 22, and the
afternoon of Sunday, November 23, 2008.

Whether you made it to the first Brainwaves in 2006, couldn't get
here, or are hearing about it for the first time, Brainwaves 2008 is
not to be missed.

The festival will feature headliners Matmos; Meat Beat Manifesto; and
Stars of the Lid.

Performances by Brainwashed Family and Old Friends to include:
Threshold HouseBoys Choir (Peter Christopherson of Coil, Throbbing
Gristle, and Psychic TV); JG Thirlwell's Manorexia; Little Annie &
Paul Wallfisch; Silver Apples; Reformed Faction (members of Zoviet
France, Dead Voices On Air, Rapoon); Torch Duo; His Name Is Alive;
Gary Wilson; and Rivulets with Jessica Bailiff. Steven Stapleton of
Nurse With Wound will be DJ'ing throughout the entire weekend and
there will be a special video performance of Greater Than One.

And, of course, some Local Heroes: Major Stars; Marissa Nadler; Glenn
Jones; and Nmperign with Jason Lescalleet.

This year, in honor of the Chicago-based Kranky record label's 15
years, there will be a special set featuring: Nudge; Strategy;
Lichens; To Kill a Petty Bourgeoisie; Windy Weber with Benoit
Pioulard; and the first US performance of Boduf Songs.

Weekend passes are available for $75 + fees and individual day passes
are available for $20 (Friday and Sunday) and $45 (for Saturday)
