A must-see for parents and teens, Children of the Streets is a hard-hitting original musical drama about teen runaways and homelessness chronicling one child's journey from the suburbs, and another's from a broken home, to the streets of New York City. Along the way, they encounter a street kid who shows them the ways of the streets, and ultimately, tries to save them from their fate. Stavros's script compellingly cries out for parents to set aside their pre-conceptions and expectations, and try to get to really know, understand, and love their children.

The show--written and produced by Regent Theatre Manager, Richard Stavros--was previously staged in Worcester, Mass. in 1991 (and later in 1992 and 1993 as a benefit for New York City's Covenant House), and in 1995 at the Regent in Arlington as a benefit for Bridge Over Trouble Water, Inc. in Boston.
