It’s Not Your Grandparents’ Christmas Carol anymore!

CORE Stage Company, in residence at the historic Regent Theatre in Arlington Center, is thrilled to announce their holiday benefit concert of A Christmas Carol.

Adapted by Arlington native Robert Jay Cronin, with music by Angelyn Fullarton, this interpretation has a modern feel as it is told through the eyes of 5 children in 2005. These children have to read the Dickens’ tale out loud as punishment for their misbehaving, and as they do – the story comes to life.

This concert production will star original cast members: Brad Bass and Robyn Elizabeth Lee, as well Thomas Keating as Scrooge and 23 other local adults and children. Direction is by Lisa Antonecchia with Music Direction by Janice Issa Wright and Original Choreography by Robert Jay Cronin.

Here is what various critics have stated about this adaptation:

“A resounding affirmation of the spirit of Christmas!” - THE HERALD OF RANDOLPH

“Joy to the World!! Cronin’s A Christmas Carol is the most moving theatrical piece I’ve seen since Les Miserables!!” – Charlie McMeekin, THE HERALD

“It is not to be missed!” – Ella Reney, TIMES ARGUS
