Cubicle Slaves
Mick Adams has always dreamed of becoming just like the famous professional
wrestlers he grew idolizing. But, he has never had the courage to do what it
took to go after that dream. Instead, he settles for his current job doing
tech support for a popular web browser. But, the office culture is begining
to take a toll on his life. His girlfriend and co-worker, Faith, has ended
their relationship siting the differences in their ultimate goals. Joe, the
sarcastic techie, says he should forget her and move on. Carrie, Mick's
neurotic self-appointed guardian, searches for ways to mend the
relationship. Seemingly oblivious to all this are Ray, the kiss-ass; Gwen,
the company's most promiscuous employee; Samantha, the boss; and Todd, the
playboy. Mick must decided whether to try to hold onto Faith and sacrifice
his dreams, or leave it all behind and take a chance on fame and fortune.
Breakin' out is hard to do.
Alone?
In addition to premiering our first feature, we will also debut our suspense
thriller "Alone?" which was shot in association with Random Foo Pictures.
Sharon is an adulterous wife who has been cheating on her husband Tony for
some time. Once again, Sharon lies to her devoted husband and plans a torrid
rendezvous with her lover, Randy. However, plans are about to change as a
masked madman has crept into Sharon's home and is stalking her every move.
Think you're alone? Think again.
This film marks the first full collaboration between CWE and Random Foo
Pictures. If was shot in August and September of 2004 at the home of Foo
co-founder Dan Gorgone.
Banana Phone
We will also be screening our short comedy "Banana Phone". Shot in a day and
released on-line a week later, this film is actually a live-action remake
(yes, even WE'RE doing remakes now) of a Flash animation by Dave Teatro at
The Friend Society. Our founder, Brendan Millet, happened to find the toon
on-line and loved it so much, he contacted Dave and secured his permission
for Team Weasel to shoot a live action version of the toon.
By no means a shot-for-shot, line-for-line remake, this version offers some
new twists on the concept while also staying faithful to the original. After
you check out our version, be sure to head over to the Friend Society web
site and check out the original Flash toon. Enjoy!
For "Coming Attractions", we will be showing the trailers for "Cubicle
Slaves", "Alone?", and debuting the teaser for our fan film "Hallowed
Ground".
