RETURN TO SEPTEMBER'S EVENTS|
This Saturday September 21 at 10:30 am, The Regent Theatre in Arlington will present the first performance of its new Family Fun Saturdays series: The Daredevil Chicken Club --an acrobatic comedy duo who feature circus skills and clowning with a generous dose of audience participation. Admission is free on a first come first serve basis for this kick-off event only. Jonathan Taylor has been performing in the street, on the stage, and in the circus ring since 1992. He started his career attending Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey Clown College and toured with 'The Greatest Show On Earth!' He recently broke a world record in Japan performing the eight-person pyramid with the Wallenda family. Currently, Jonathan lives in Boston performing as a Blue Man in Blue Man Group. Anne Goldmann has been training since she was 8 years old in gymnastics. That early training helped her excel at the S.F. Circus School where she studied virtually every circus trick imaginable. She has toured North America performing Children's Theater at schools, and has performed at Theater Festivals in Clown shows. Future Family Fun Saturdays performances (tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for kids 12 and under and seniors 65 and over) include Lisa Yves and The Young Beboppers (Sept. 28), Lucky (Oct. 5), The Airborne Comedians (Oct. 12), Bobarino Gravittini (Oct 19), Yo-Yo Guy (Oct. 26), Peter Gross (Nov. 2), Peter Panic (Nov. 9), Alexander the Jester (Nov. 23), Gazzo the Great (Nov. 30), Ben Rudnick & Friends (Dec. 7), and The Legacy Dancers of the Dance Inn (Dec. 14). All shows start at 10:30am, will run for approximately one hour, and are suitable for children 5 and older. The Regent Theatre is located at 7 Medford St. in Arlington Center. Free Parking.
