“The Fool of the World and the Flying Ship,” a Russian folk tale
set to music, will have its second appearance at the Regent on Saturday, October 22 at 10:30 a.m.. This performance is part of the theater’s
Family Fun Saturdays Series.
Arlington composer John Kusiak was commissioned to write music
to accompany this fanciful Russian folk tale about a youthful peasant
who wins the hand of a beautiful princess with help from his magical
friends and a fantastic flying ship. It will be performed by the
Boston-based Solar Winds quintet and narrated by Victor Cockburn.
