Steve ("Mr. Steve" on PBS Kids!) has been writing and performing his award-winning music for kids and families for the past 11 years. He blends participatory songs, clever stories and great melodies to create what the Boston Globe called "not just a musical journey but an entertaining, interactive and educational one." He has delighted audiences across the country at prestigious venues, including the Kennedy Center and the White House in Washington, D.C., Wolftrap in Vienna, VA, Symphony Space in New York City and Fenway Park in Boston. Steve has won numerous prestigious awards, including two Parents' Choice Gold Awards, a Nappa Honor, an iParenting Media Award and a Children's Music Web Award. Steve is known for his fun, upbeat songs with educational messages and for using music to connect with children in pre-schools and other learning environments throughout the country. His current and critically acclaimed CD, Marvelous Day, was released in 2006 on Rounder Records. www.stevesongs.com SteveSongs Bio Steve Roslonek debuted as “Mr. Steve” on the PBS KIDS preschool destination on May 19, 2008 and continues to perform original music that ties into the day’s interactive curriculum theme. Steve has been writing and performing his award-winning music for kids and families for the past eleven years. He blends participatory songs, clever stories and great melodies to create what the Boston Globe called “not just a musical journey but an entertaining, interactive and educational one.” He has delighted audiences across the country at prestigious venues, including the Kennedy Center and the White House in Washington, D.C., Wolftrap in Vienna, VA, Symphony Space in New York City and Fenway Park in Boston. Steve began writing children’s music in 1997, recorded his first album, Morning ’Til Night independently in 1999, and soon left his job as a business consultant with Accenture to pursue his musical adventure full time. Nine years and four albums later, Steve has performed thousands of shows across the country and has won numerous prestigious awards, including two Parents’ Choice Gold Awards, a Nappa Honor, an iParenting Media Award and a Children’s Music Web Award. Steve is known for his fun, upbeat songs with educational messages and for using music to connect with children in pre-schools and other learning environments throughout the country.
