THE REGENT THEATRE SALUTES JOHNNY CARSON WITH FREE SHOWINGS OF JOHNNY'S FAVORITE TONIGHT SHOW MOMENTS THIS FRIDAY AND NEXT! 7pm Friday, February 18th and 25th Due to the overwhelming success of its first Carson tribute a couple of weeks ago, the Regent Theatre, "Arlington's Show Place Of Entertainment," will continue to pay special tribute to the King of Late Nite Entertainment with free screenings of Johnny's favorite "Tonight Show" highlights on the Regent's big screen. These special programs (different from the earlier Carson event) will run from 7 to 11pm Friday, February 18th and 25th. Admission is free, and theater-goers will be able come and go as they please at any time or stay for the entire evening (four different hours of highlights each night). The two screenings will feature the best monologues, interviews, and entertainment moments--as chosen by Carson himself--from three decades of the "Tonight Show" when Carson was the host. For people who enjoyed Johnny Carson and the variety show's classic years, the event will evoke nostalgia galore, while younger folks will have a great opportunity to see, hear, and understand why Carson was the very best at what he did, and why millions of TV viewers stayed up late each night just to hear those magic words from Ed McMahon, "Here's Johnny!" |
