Jon Pousette-Dart captained the Pousette-Dart Band through four albums for Capitol Records between 1976 and 1980, a run that acquainted a generation with his formidable gifts as a singer, songwriter, arranger, guitarist and all-around musical adventurer. During this time, the Pousette-Dart Band became one of the busiest touring groups in the U. S., working with such acts as the Byrds, Bonnie Raitt, Little Feat, James Taylor, Yes, the J. Geils Band, Eddie Money, Peter Frampton, Journey and Billy Joel.

In 1973, he formed the Pousette-Dart Band with John Troy, his college mate from the University of Pacific, and a new recruit, John Curtis. In 1975, legendary promotion man Al Coury signed the group to Capitol. By this time, Pousette-Dart was being managed by music mogul Don Law. The first album, Pousette-Dart Band, was released in 1976, followed by Amnesia (1977), Pousette-Dart Band 3 (1979) and Never Enough (1980). Although the band worked the pop music arena, three of its Capitol album were cut in Nashville under award-winning producer Norbert Putnam.

Jon will be continuing touring throughout the United States, and Europe, solo, and with band. He has completed his new CD, “Heart and Soul”, which features drummer extraordinaire Billy Ward, and is being released nationally, April, 2005 with dates starting on the East Coast. About Brookline Falls:

The bands members are:
Ramon Macias - guitar/vocals,
Ian Axel - piano/keyboard,
Sean Davies - drums, A Melrose native and former member of the Melrose band, orchestra, and All-Middlesex honorable mention soccer player
Joe Baldacci - bass

Originating in December of 2003 with the introduction of singer Ramon Macias and pianist Ian Axel, Brookline Falls has slowly evolved to the shape it takes today. Drummer Sean Davies, intrigued by the original duo’s, powerful sound, joined in the spring of ‘04, followed by bassist Joe Baldacci in August of that same year during their first recording session. The band embraces the challenge of the distance between them, with members of the band spanning Philadelphia, New York, and Boston. Their music is created with two goals in mind: move people and make people move; the group thrives on instilling rhythm in their audience, but also strives to involve them emotionally, no matter what age or gender. Pulling influences from such bands as Ben Folds Five, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Counting Crows, back to the days of Motown, and even jazz, funk, and Latin, the band does not withhold any ideas in the creation process. However, one classifying their sound would see them as a funky, melodious concoction highlighted by interplay between a powerful piano, acoustic guitar, and soulful singing. To date, the group has played shows in both the Boston and New York areas; namely the Century Lounge in Providence, RI, the All Asia Café in Boston, and The Bitter End, Kenny’s Castaways, and Pianos in New York City. In addition, they have played several gigs at Stonehill College and Boston University. They fully intend on embracing any and every opportunity to share their music with a live audience that crosses their path.
