An Evening with Bruce Katz and Dave Maxwell

Celebrating New CDs from Both Performers!

Friday, September 17 at 8pm

General Admission Tickets: $20

Bruce Katz occupies a unique space where blues, jazz, rock, soul, and the many aspects of Americana all collide into a style of original instrumental music all his own. He is as comfortable playing "soul-jazz" on the Hammond organ as he is playing 1930's style stride piano or the meanest slow blues. Over the past twenty years, Bruce has been an in-demand sideman as well as leading his own band. He has played and recorded with many of the leading names in blues and roots music, such as Ronnie Earl, Duke Robillard, Jerry Portnoy, Barrence Whitfield and the Savages, Big Mama Thornton, Mighty Sam McClain, Debbie Davies and many others. www.brucekatzband.com

David Maxwell has amassed an enormous resumé throughout the years playing piano with some of the greatest and most well-known musicians in the blues. David's style encompasses elements of blues and jazz, but he is best known for his soulful virtuosity and unmatched ability to reach the heart of post-war Chicago Blues. Through his work, he has gained the respect of artists, critics and fans and has established a reputation as one of the finest pianists alive.  http://www.davidmaxwell.com/
