Hosted by Hermit Lake eZine and chunkymonkey productions, the Radical Reels Film Tour (out of the famous Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour) screens the best in action sports filmmaking, audience-tested and programmed for maximum excitement. Radical Reels Tour 2006 Now in its third year on the road, the Radical Reels Tour continues to deliver a selection of high energy adrenaline films from around the world, aimed to thrill audiences wanting to go faster, steeper, higher,and deeper. For 2006, Radical Reels will screen the best in action sports filmmaking, including... Everyday Extreme winner of the Best Short Mountain Film Award at the Banff Mountain Film Festival, pushes ordinary life to new intense levels and turns the heavily hyped world of extreme sport on its head. Directed, filmed and edited by David Kvart, this Swedish film presents an entertaining perspective on a pioneer who is making his every day extreme. Peter Mortimer’s Return2Sender: Mexico BASE takes you to the edge and then hurls you off, leavingyour mouth dry and your hands shaking. This film brings you the sheer exhilaration and beyond beliefperspectives experienced by world-class BASE jumpers from outstanding locations including 760metre (2,500 foot) El Gigante and the spectacular Cave of the Swallows. Bulletins from a Colder Planet: Cream Show presents a passionate and artistic glimpse into the untouched powder landscapes of backcountry skiers and snowboarders. Fully delivering stunning footage of big lines and massive cliff drops, the film also conveys subtle observations on the effects of humanity on the future of nature and weather patterns. Fear this! Kayak film Bigger than Rodeo drops over the burliest of waterfalls, executes jaw-dropping tricks on the edge of swirling holes, and makes a record-breaking plummet of 32 metres (105 feet), at Alexandra Falls. Return2Sender: Rebels with Paws features the gnarly climbing routes of “Paws and Effect” and “Give a Dog a Bone” expertly tackled canine-style by Biscuit and Felix. Mom and son, these two Jack Russells show off their distinctive techniques as they eagerly solve tough boulder challenges in Eldorado. UFO Pure fun and enjoyment are paramount in UFO as the film showcases the high-flying exploits and amusing antics of a multitude of skydivers and BASE jumpers.
