Community Center for the Arts & Jose’s Mexican restaurant are pleased to announce the second annual concert: The true spirit of Mexico. Please join us on Saturday, September 17, 2005 from 7-9 pm at the Regent Theater, 7 Medford Street Arlington, Massachusetts. The event is family oriented, accessible, and there is plenty of parking. Featuring Veronica Robles well known Mexican singer and TV personality accompanied by Mariachi Son de America, Ballet Monte Alban de Veronica Robles, Music group Fuerza Salvaje, the singer El primo Simon who is also a Spanish radio personality. The program will present a celebration of Mexican folkloric music, songs dance and art. We invite you to delight in the varied styles of Mexican musical expressions, from typical styles from Jalisco and Veracruz, to a modern fusion which combines corridos, cumbia and other Afro-American rhythms. Presented by the Community Center for the Arts and sponsored by Jose’s Mexican Restaurant, The Chelsea Cultural Council, Tecate Beer, Corona Beer, Kayem Foods and Tango Restaurant this event will feature lively and captivating songs by concert master Veronica Robles La Mera, Mera (The real one), enchanting and colorful dances and an Aztec musical depiction of the Spanish Conquest by Ballet Monte Alban V.R. energetic norteño music by Fuerza Salvaje, the pleasing male voice of a of El primo Simon.
