FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Leland Stein (617) 694-6612 "It's Elvis!!!" scream many folks when they first see Donny Edwards--they can't believe their eyes. His strong resemblance to the King has gotten him acclaim throughout the world. But Edwards is not just another pretty face. His voice is just as outstanding. He recreates--in every detail--the look, voice, moves, and stage presence of Elvis Presley. Edwards started performing in 2002 in Texas when his family talked him into joining a local Elvis Impersonator Contest—the first of many such contests he has won throughout the US. He has performed around the world in such exotic places as Cancun and Hong Kong and recently had a role singing on the soap opera, "The Young and The Restless." This year, Edwards won first place in the “Tribute To The King” contest at the Isle of Capri in Mississippi where he performed with the legendary Jordanaires, and he has been invited to return to Mississippi this June at a major event commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Elvis returning to his birthplace in Tupelo. In just a short time, Shawn Klush has emerged as one of the busiest, most in demand Elvis Tribute Artists in the country. Born and raised in the small coal-mining town of Pittston, Pennsylvania, Klush’s love for music led him to begin imitating his idol with early performances in the Poconos followed quickly by a tour of Canada where he won the “Worldwide Elvis Competition” in Montreal. In 2004, he starred in the award winning Las Vegas show, “Legends in Concert,” in Branson, MO, Vegas and Atlantic City. Each January Klush stars in the “Elvis Birthday Tribute Tour,” an extravaganza featuring Presley’s own musicians, singers, and closest friends in major venues across the country. An actor and singer-songwriter, Klush has recorded 2 CDs and performed with musicians and singers such as JD Sumner and the Stamps Quartet, The Jordanaires, DJ Fontana, Charlie Hodge, Myrna Smith, The Sweet Inspirations, and Joe Esposito. He recently portrayed Elvis in the hit TV miniseries “Shake, Rattle, and Roll” which aired on CBS and VH1. Last year, Shawn scored perfect 10s in every category to win the “World Elvis Tribute Artist Competition,” and received the People's Choice Award for “Best Concert Elvis” from the Gibson Guitar Company in Nashville, TN. Says Donny Edwards, “I don’t want to sound boastful, but fans who have seen this show tell us it’s not only the best Elvis show around, but one of the best tribute shows of any kind—especially with the great live band we have backing us. It’s really the perfect combo of the prime young Elvis and seasoned Vegas Elvis performing together with dead-on vocals and looks… “ The Ultimate Elvis Elvis Tribute Show will be staged at the Regent Theatre, 7 Medford St. in Arlington Center on Thursday and Friday, May 18 and 19 at 8pm; Saturday, May 20 at 2pm and 8pm; and Sunday, May 21 at 2pm.
