WERS and the Playground Present an Afternoon of Family-Friendly Fun

Featuring Children’s Musicians Steve’s Songs and The Mighty Acorn

Boston, Mass. – WERS, 88.9 FM and the Playground present Steve Songs and The Mighty Acorn on Saturday, July 17, at the Regent Theatre in Arlington, Mass. Children and parents are invited to join the Playground from 11am – 1pm for an afternoon of music and fun.

The Playground is children’s radio heard every Saturday and Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. During the Playground parents and children can enjoy everything from Disney and Sesame Street to the latest music from children’s performers and popular television shows.

Steve Songs is a recipient of the Parent’s Choice Gold Award and his album “On a Flying Guitar” recently won an iParenting Media Award. Having just released his fourth album, he has been performing for almost eight years most recently to a crowd of over 2,000. Steve’s Songs is a blend of engaging and educational music perfect for younger children.

Also performing is the New England based group, The Mighty Acorn. The band’s first album which debuted in 2001 has been in rotation for over a year on the Playground. With more music on the way, the group entertains children by keeping music fun.
