For Immediate Release                             September 19, 2007

SteveSongs brings award-winning Children’s Music to the Regent theatre’s Family Fun series, October 6th.

New Sneak-PEEK EP available for sale at the show.

On Saturday October 6th, Steve Roslonek and his band bring their truly thoughtful, educational, and contagiously fun music to Arlington’s historic Regent Theatre. Available for the first time will be the brand new SteveSongs EP featuring a six-minute sneak peak of the forthcoming Marvelous Day music DVD (due out in early 2008 on Rounder) plus three newly recorded songs.

Steve blends participatory songs, clever stories and great melodies to create what the Boston Globe called “not just a musical journey but an entertaining, interactive and educational one.” Anyone who’s attended a SteveSongs show appreciates his trademark energy, charisma, and ability to engage the audience – from the mosh pit of children surrounding the stage, to the moms bouncing babies with the beat, to the parents and grandparents singing and grooving along. It’s no wonder Steve has been called a modern day Pied Piper!

A rising star on the national kids’ music scene, Steve has delighted audiences across the country, including at prestigious venues like Symphony Space in New York City and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. He’s earned numerous awards, including 2 Parents’ Choice Gold Awards, a Nappa Honor, iParenting Media Award, and a Children’s Music Web Award. His current and critically acclaimed CD is Marvelous Day (2006, Rounder Records).

Steve’s songs tackle a creative mix of kid-friendly topics - opposites, gravity, a trip to the beach – but does so in a humorous and sophisticated way that adults find irresistible. The group is in top form as their 2007 tour comes to a close, with accomplished musicians including Anand Nayak on guitars and mandolin; Scott Kessel on Drums; Matt Steckler on clarinet, flute, and sax; and David Stackhouse on vocal percussion and bass. Steve is also accompanied onstage by the Sensational Sillies, the talented preteen backup performers, who add a fun and interactive dimension to the show.

The Regent Theatre's popular, award-winning "Family Fun Saturdays" series offers the best in LIVE on stage family entertainment, presenting nationally known and local performers who emphasize creativity, audience interaction, and FUN. Musicians, magicians, jugglers, puppeteers, dancers, and much more!
Parents and Grandparents LOVE these shows, too!
